Serving Balham with authentic Spanish Tapas since 2002, The Lounge is a
family restaurant in every sense. With a selection of over 50 dishes to
choose from, a bar and an extensive wine list diners can sit back and relax
while owners Philippe and Manuela cater to their needs. All food is cooked
on site by Philippe and his team to traditional recipes guaranteeing a fresh
tapas experience. The consistent quality of the dishes require much effort,
but The Lounge wants you to return again and again.

Sopa Fabada Asturiana
Pork, chorizo and Spanish white bean soup is entirely homemade.
The stock is prepared slowly and steadily with the final ingredients
added right before it reaches your table. A specialty of The Lounge,
the Fabada is cooked using a time-honoured technique. The result is
a hearty stew so authentic, you’ll think you’re dining in a Spanish village.
Pincho de Cordero
Lamb Shish Kebab is sourced from top quality Welsh lamb and
marinated for over 12 hours – a succulent treat.
Gambas a la Casa
King prawns in garlic and truffle butter. The truffle butter is handcrafted
at The Lounge. Black truffles are sourced from Italy and blended into butter.
A specialty of the house, these mouthwatering prawns are delightful.
Boquerones en Vinagre
Fresh anchovies in vinegar, and olive oil. This dish is 100% prepared from
scratch at The Lounge. Anchovies can help lower cholesterol level and
reduce the risk of heart disease, so treat yourself. The Boquerones are
so popular that some of our customers take an extra portion home.
